Prep Enrolments

Parents who wish to work out the eligibility of enrolment for their child in prep should visit  https://education.qld.gov.au/schools-educators/ecec/about-prep.

When enrolling your child at Railway Estate we will need:

  • Your child's name, date of birth, address, phone number, parents' or carers' contact details. Documentary evidence will be required for example, your child's birth certificate (which can be ordered from the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages).
  • We may ask for proof of your child's immunisation status.
  • Information about any medical condition or medication your child has, together with your doctor's instructions and contact details.
  • Information about any other languages that might be spoken at home.
  • Any other information that will assist the school in providing for your child's education and welfare. This may include information from your child's previous education and care providers

Railway Estate also has  prep open sessions where parents are encouraged to bring their children to experience life as a Railway Estate Primary School Prep student. These open day sessions must be booked in via the office.

Due to COVID, we do ask parents and carers social distance when in or around classrooms and other staff and students.

To determine when your child can commence their prep year, use the online calculator
